Lou MAGRITZER (LM) was born and educated in Austria, where he trained as an Automotive Engineer and worked with Steyr-Daimler-Puch before the Melbourne Olympics brought him in 1956 to Australia.
In Australia he continued in various roles as an Automotive Mechanical Engineer, Service Manager and Proprietor of an NRMA workshop including a supervisory role in the Snowy Mountain Scheme.
From 1966 to 1995 he worked fulltime in the Australian aircraft industry in various Quality Engineering and Management roles with HDH/Boeing, Lucas Aerospace, Pacific Aviation, including 3 years in the Electronics/Telecoms industries with GE /Marconi / Plessey / GPT Group.
LM established AQACI in 1970, Australia’s first registered QA Consultancy, which he operated part-time to 1995 and full-time since then.
LM was invited to deliver many dozens of QEST-related and Six Sigma papers / presentations as Guest speaker at National & International Conferences in all continents over the last three decades.
LM's latest assignment in Jan/Feb 2005 was a six weeks lecture assignment in Thailand at the Faculty of Agricultural Industry, KMITL University, Ladkrabang, Bangkok (www.kmitl.ac.th/agrind).

Herewith, are a small selection of employment and consulting related achievements:
- At one major Telecom manufacturing facility LM achieved a decrease of the lot rejection rate (of finished Goods delivered to the customer) from a high 25% level to well below the annual target of 5 %, during a three year continual system and process improvement program.
- At an Aviation maintenance facility LM achieved over a two year period certification to ISO 9002 in 6 State branches and as a consequence a reduction of personnel from 8 to 1 in its Customer service / complaints section alone as well as a very satisfied CASA Regulator..
- At an Aircraft manufacturing & maintenance organisation LM achieved 99% compliance Audit ratings from a major US customer after just 2 years improvement efforts ,starting from a very basic level.
- Consequently his employer was rated No 1 out of 400 global Suppliers.
- LM has every quarter since the year 2000 (on a contract basis) ,performed System. process & product audits and FAI releases for the US aerospace sector with nil customer/client complaints.
- LM lectured/trained/consulted for many organisations , Small to Medium Enterprises(SME) to Large, private and government in Australia and in Asia, and as visiting lecturer in a number of Universities , Industry, Government and Quality Organisations in Thailand ,China, Malaysia ,Borneo and South Africa etc.
