Professor Goh Thong Ngee

Prof T N Goh obtained his BE from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada and PhD from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He was a Project Specialist at Lockheed Aircraft Company in the US before joining the National University of Singapore (NUS). Positions that he has held at NUS include Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Head of Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, and Director of University Office of Quality Management. He is the Founding President of the Institute of Industrial Engineers Singapore and a former President of the Singapore Institute of Statistics. Recent honors and awards Prof Goh has received include “Educator of the Year” Award of the
IEEE Engineering Management Society, the William G Hunter Award of the American Society for Quality Statistics Division, and the Masing Book Prize of the International Academy for Quality.Prof Goh, a Fellow of the American Society for Quality, Academician of the International Academy for Quality, and Honorary Member of the Singapore Quality Institute, is author or coauthor of more than three hundred peer-reviewed research papers and four advanced books on Quality. Prof Goh is a frequent invited keynoted speaker at international conferences and corporate meetings; he has also served as trainer and consultant to a wide spectrum of industrial organizations in Asia-Pacific countries.
